The apartment is accessed via a staircase to the first floor. It offers bright and airy accommodation for up to 3 people comprising of a combined living/sleeping space with free wi-fi, tv, self-contained kitchen, shower room and separate toilet. Its town centre location makes it convenient for the beach, prom, restaurants, pubs & transport.

The renovated, first floor, self-contained apartment has been totally refurbished specifically for the self-catering holiday market. The renovation work has been completed to an excellent standard whilst maintaining some of the old features you would expect in a character building. This property is located above our small family retail business (Oriel y Bont) and is one of 4 apartments in the building. The apartment called Ystwyth, is accessed from Bridge Street via a stair case to the first floor. The front elevation looks down onto Bridge Street which is the main southerly thoroughfare into Aberystwyth. The building is located in the town centre and is surrounded by a mix of residential and commercial premises just as you would expect in a busy market town. The rear elevation, from the kitchen, looks over neighbouring rooftops.
The property offers a good-sized self-contained kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and free-standing cooker with the usual base and wall units, kitchen sink and storage heater. Crockery, glasses, utensils and cutlery are provided for 3 occupants. An ironing board and iron are provided. The breakfast bar offers eating space for 2/3 people and two contemporary bar stools fit nicely under the worktop whilst a fold up bar stool is also available. The kitchen is equipped with a fire blanket and fire extinguisher, the window is fitted with a day light roller blind.
The shower room is compact with free standing wash hand basin, double shower tray with glass shower panel, shower unit and mirror. The toilet occupies a separate space so allowing guests to use the shower room when the wc is engaged.
The combined living/sleeping space offers a well sized, airy and bright room as it has 2 beautiful double glazed sash windows which are fitted with secondary double glazing and thermal/blackout blinds. The room is fully carpeted and offers a double bed, double sofa bed, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, nest of tables a range of soft lighting, hairdryer, electric fan, throw and cushions as well as a wall mounted remote controlled tv which can be manoeuvred for sofa or bed watching. The room has retained the old Victorian fire place which has been tastefully adapted to offer a contemporary electric fire which is operated by remote control. A traditional mantle mirror sits above the fireplace and the original dado rail and ceiling cornice have been retained. The room has a large storage heater in addition to the electric fire and a small wall hanging rail offers compact space for garments on hangers and there is ample hanging space for coats behind the front door which has a spy hole for your personal security.
The accommodation has been lovingly restored and refurbished and we have taken the opportunity to promote our business within the space as the art work on show is available to purchase. A central fire alarm system is installed in the building to safeguard all our guests and fire extinguishers are available in all kitchens and on floor landings.

You will receive a small supply of essential items with our compliments to tie you over. Milk, orange juice, tea, coffee pods, sugar, jams, butter, olive oil, condiments, cereal and cake are provided as the well as basics such as toilet roll, shower wash and shampoo.
The apartment is in a great town centre location. Shops, restaurants, cafes and banks are within a minute’s walk from the front door. A 2 minute walk and you will find yourself in the castle grounds, a 5 minute walk will take you to south beach, the harbour, promenade, north beach, railway and bus station, main taxi rank, Vale of Rheidol steam railway and retail shopping centre. Access to the funicular Cliff Railway, camera obscura and Constitution Hill is approximately 10/15 minutes away … university campus, art centre, hospital, National Library of Wales are all within a 15/20 minute walk…. you get the picture!! Free street parking is available but check sign posts for any restrictions and be warned the traffic wardens are keen. A car park facility is available in the grounds of St Michael’s Church at a reasonable cost which again is a 3 minute walk from the apartment. Aberystwyth has the greatest number of public houses for a town of its size in Wales, and combined with a night club and cocktail bars you can expect street noise at night. Aberystwyth boasts some wonderful restaurants, eateries, delis, butchers and a super fishmongers. Needless to say the countryside is breath taking and the sunsets even better as you watch the sun go down over Cardigan Bay.
